Feline Habits                          

Dear Cat Lover

I have probably seen it all when it comes to the things cats can do to your home and that is why I have made this website for cat owners who may not know about cat behavior, which is very important if you want to have a good relationship with your pet. I have also included cat products so your feline can keep themselves amused and looking good, and articles which can help you better understand your cat.

I have been a cat lover for over two decades, but that wasn't always the case. I grew up in a neighborhood where the people and my parents hated cats for no good reason so I figured I had to hate cats too because everybody else did. I continued to hate cats into my adult life until I came across a stray cat at work who took a liking to me. He looked mighty skinny so I bought cans of cat food and fed him and we became good friends. I decided to take him home and my wife fell in love with him and since then I have been a full fledged cat lover.

I currently have 4 cats in my household, and they are all indoor cats. I don't believe in letting my cats roam the neighborhood getting into fights, dodging cars or becoming road kill. You also run the risk of your cat getting some kind of disease, or worse yet some neighbor wanting or trying to kill your cat (yes there really are people like that) because it was peeing on their flowers or something. This is just my opinion, how you handle your cat is entirely up to you, but if you let your cat roam outside make sure it has all the necessary vaccinations to give it the best chance for a long life.

Cats for the most part are solitary animals. They will have their own little space in the house that they spend most of their time. They can be very loving creatures, but  If you want to have a cat that adores you and wants to be with you all the time then your best bet would be to get a kitten who has just been weaned and treat it like a member of the family. Let your cat help you on your computer with a word document or maybe just tell you what day it is. I will go into more detail on this concept in a future article.
